From the famine play, "Black Stranger", to Brian Friel's modern "Philadelphia, Here I Come", he has played many diverse roles, each one telling one man's story but ultimately covering much of lrish life. Favorites include "Translations", "Skull of Connemara", "Sharon's Grave", "Freedom of the City", and "Playboy of the Western World". He brought the Gaelic Players to illustrate lectures at Smith College, Long Wharf Theatre, Manhattan Plaza and the Mark Twain House showing the power of lrish drama to heal human and societal brokenness. He recently played the “50 year old Kerry virgin“ John Bosco McLaine in Keane’s "The Chastitute". Thanks to Paul Pender’s writing for bringing these characters to life. Slainte!
