Charity-Up Enterprise is one of the newly and most active enterprise on campus and locally. Our members have worked with a number of Charities around Dublin including Saint Vincents de paul, amnesty international, refugee, children and hunger.
However, they are also number of Charity organisations such as S.V.P , Barnardos, make a wish, Lyons club and focus Ireland who help students in various ways.
The society holds social events for members, as well as fundraising events such as ‘Homeless Month’ where students sleep rough outside the GPO to aid and raise awareness of homelessness.
This is a great way to get to know the Students on campus, while making a very real difference to student’s lives.
The general aim of this enterprise is to help those who are marginalized, acting as a short-term safety net for those who fall outside the care of the Welfare State or need emergency financial support, while promoting self-sufficiency.
As a locally enterprise, we act on this general aim by giving a hand to Charities around Dublin, as well as providing assistance to students who find themselves in difficulty.
