Only participate if you feel fit and well.
If you have any medical condition that may affect your participation, please consider seeking advice from a healthcare professional before taking part.
Do not participate if you are suffering from illness, dizziness, chest pain, breathing difficulties, or any condition that could make participation unsafe.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear appropriate for running or walking.
Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
Bring any personal medication you may require (e.g. inhalers, EpiPens).
Follow all instructions provided by event organisers and marshals.
Stay on designated routes and pathways.
Be aware of uneven ground, kerbs, potholes, tree roots, and other trip hazards.
Take care when crossing roads and follow any instructions from marshals.
Maintain awareness of other participants, pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles.
Do not push, shove, or engage in unsafe behaviour.
Stay hydrated before, during, and after the event.
In warm weather, consider sun protection including sunscreen, hats, and appropriate clothing.
In cold or wet weather, wear suitable layers and waterproof clothing.
If you feel unwell at any time, stop and seek assistance.
First aid provision will be available during the event.
If you require assistance, notify an event marshal or organiser immediately.
In an emergency, call 999 and inform the nearest event official.
Participants take part voluntarily and are responsible for:
Assessing their own fitness and capability to participate.
Wearing suitable clothing and footwear.
Following event instructions and safety guidance.
Acting responsibly towards other participants and members of the public.
If an emergency occurs:
Stop immediately if instructed to do so.
Follow directions from event organisers, marshals, or emergency services.
Assemble at the main gazebo by the start of the track.
Report any accidents, injuries, hazards, or near misses to the event organisers.
If you identify a hazard or safety concern before or during the event, please notify an event organiser or marshal as soon as possible.
