The Chardham Tour Package circuit in Uttarakhand loses its charm again. All roads, hotels have been repaired and rebuilt. To create better infrastructure, the Minister of Transport and Transport of the Union has announced a grant of Rs 1300 million for the construction of new roads for the famous Char Dham Tour Package racing circuit in Uttarakhand. The renovations are in full swing, despite the winter months and heavy snowfall, to prepare for softer roads ahead of the launch of Chardham Yatra Package 2019.

Important Note: - Last year's walk to Kedarnath Tour Package Temple was increased to 19 km (one way) and pilgrims were not allowed to stay in the Kedarnath Temple so guests had to travel to Kedarnath Tour Package or Kedarnath Tour Yatra Package the same day. (Helicopter) used. This year, the Uttrakhand government works all day to shorten the Kedarnath Temple Road and also makes wooden huts for at least 5,000 pilgrims for their stay at the Kedarnath Tour Package 2019 Temple. Registration to Yatra Tour Package is necessary to visit this circuit.

Day 01: Arrival Haridwar - Barkot (215 Kms. 07 hrs)


Morning on arrival at Haridwar Railway station. Meet and drive to Barkot via Dehradun, Mussoorie, and en-route visit Kempty fall. Later continue drive to Barkot. On arrival Barkot Check In at Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.



Day 02: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot (42 Kms Drive / 6 Kms trek)


Morning leave for Janki Chatti via Hanuman Chatti & Fool Chatti. On arrival Janki Chatti start Trek of 06 kms for Yamunotri, On Arrive Yamunotri Holi Dip in Garam Kund, than Pooja and Darshan of Shree Yamunotri Ji, after Darshan and Pooja, afternoon start trek back to Janki Chatti on arrival Janki Chatti meet with driver and drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.


Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.


Day 03: Barkot - Uttarkashi (Drive 82 Kms. 04 hrs)


Morning leave for Uttarkashi, a drive of 82 kms. Enroute visit Prakateshwar Cave, on arrival Uttarkashi check in at the hotel evening visit Vishwnath Temple, Overnight stay at the hotel.


Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwnath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.


Day 04: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Kms. per way)


Early morning drive to Gangotri and on arrival take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform Pooja after that and relax for some time in the lovely surroundings, afternoon drive to Uttarkashi, on arrival check into the Hotel.


Day 05: Uttarkashi - Guptkashi (223 Kms. Drive 09 - 10 Hrs)


Morning drive to Guptkashi, en-route visit Tehri Dam & continue journey toward Guptkashi. Upon arrival in check-in at hotel. Later in the evening visit Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Ardh Narishwar Temple, Overnight stay at the Hotel.


Guptkashi: is located in the Northern Himalayan belt within the Mandakini river valley, which has lush green forests. A number of streams and rivulets drain into the main Mandakini River. It has salubrious climate with its elevation being around 1,319 meters (4,330 ft). The snow sparkling view of the Chaukhamba peak is a lovely sight to behold in the morning hours from here. The valley has large magnolia trees (locally called Champa) that provide a sweet scented atmosphere to the place.


Day 06: Guptkashi - Gaurikund - Kedarnath (32 Kms Drive 14 Kms. trek)


Morning drive to Gaurikund (32 kms drive-one way). On arrival Gaurikund start your journey on the tough Trek ahead. Stop for lunch en route at Rambara, and continue after that to arrive by late afternoon, on arrival check in to the Hotel / Guest Houses. After freshening up, perform Pooja and also Darshan at Shri Kedarnathji. In the evening also visit Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi behind the Temple. Overnight stay at the Hotel or Guest Houses.


Kedarnath: is a majestic sight, standing in the middle of a wide plateau surrounded by lofty snow covered peaks. The present temple, built in the 8th century by Adi Shankaracharya, stands adjacent to the site of an earlier temple built by the Pandavas. The inner walls of the assembly hall are decorated with figures of various deities and scenes from mythology. Outside the temple door a large statue of the Nandi Bull stands as guard.


Day 07: Kedarnath - Gaurikund - Pipalkoti (14 Kms trek 145 kms Drive)


Early Morning Pooja and darshan at the Temple, Morning start trek down to Gaurikund, on arrival meet with driver and leave for Pipalkoti, on arrival Pipalkoti check in at hotel for overnight stay.


Pipalkoti: is a small and scenic town situated at an elevation of 1,260mts above sea level. It is located 17kms after Chamoli on NH58. Pipalkoti acts a relaxation point for people traveling to Badrinath, Auli, Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers. It is nestled amidst lush green mountains and terraced fields. Pipalkoti provides delightful views of the snow clad mountains and green hills all around.


Day 08: Pipalkoti - Badrinath (72 kms. 3 ½ hrs. drive)


Morning leave for Shri Badrinath Ji. Enroute visit Narsingh Temple, and Adi Sankracharya Samadhi at Joshimath, than drive to Badrinath On arrival take the holy Darshan and spend time visiting Mana village the last village before the Tibetan border, Byas Gufa, Bheem Pul, Saraswati River, Overnight stay at hotel.


Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.


Narad Kund: A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.


Mata Murty Temple: Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.


Mana Village: Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.


Bhim Pul: On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.


Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.


Day 09: Badrinath - Rudraprayag (155 Kms. 07 hrs. drive)


Early Morning Pooja & Darshan at the Temple. Later drive to Rudrapryag, via Joshimath, Chamoli, Karanprayag, on arrival check in at the Hotel for Overnight stay.


Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda.


Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms).


Day 10: Rudraprayag - Haridwar (157 Kms 07 hrs. drive)


Morning drive to Haridwar via Srinagar Garhwal. En-route visits the Confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknada River which is called Devprayag. Than continue drive towards Haridwar. On arrival drop you at the at Railway station for onwards destination.

Day 01: Haridwar/Rishikesh - Barkot (220 Kms/7Hr)

Drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and others later drive straight to your Hotel for night halt.


Day 02: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot 36 Kms drive & 7kms Trek (one side)

Drive to Jankichatti, than trek start from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Either by walk or by horse or by Doli at own cost. Arr. Yamunotri, One can cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the hot kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice home as "Prasad". Here near the temple "Pooja" can be offered to Divya Shila, After taking bath in Jamunabai Kund's warn water and having "Darshan" of pious "Yamunaji" returning to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 04: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Kms/3Hr each side)

We proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we enjoy picturesque Harsil village, Bhagirathi River and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we return to Uttarkashi. overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.

Submerged Shivling: Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases.

Kedar Ganga Sangam: Around 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from the Kedar Valle, this river meets the Bhagirathi on its left bank.


Day 05: Uttarkashi - Rudraprayag (175 Kms/6Hr)

Early morning, drive to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel, night halt.

Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda.

Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms).


Day 06: Rudraprayag - Kedarnath (75Kms by road & 19Kms Trek)

Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Night halt.

Gaurikund: At a distance of 5kms from Sonprayag and at an altitude of 1982 meters., one can take bath in the hot water pond here and visit the Gauri Temple. This is the place where Goddess Parvathi meditated to attain Lord Shiva. It is the base for a trek to Kedarnath.

Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The r! emaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar.


Day 07: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag (19Kms Down Trek & 75Kms/3Hr by Road)

Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later, drive to Rudraprayag via Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Rudraprayag. Night Halt.


Day 08: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (165Kms/7Hr)

Drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Check in Hotel. Later at evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. Overnightstay.

Badrinath one of the 'Four Dhams' is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries".

Tapt Kund: Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.

Brahama Kapal: A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform proppitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.

Sheshnetra: 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag's eye.

Charanpaduka: 3kms. away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.

Day 9: Badrinath – Joshimath - Rudraprayag (170Kms/7Hr)

Early morning, pilgrims after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddan Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus). There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the Mukh of the Saraswati River. Drive to Rudraprayag over night stay in Hotel in Ruddraprayag.


Day 10: Rudraprayag - Devprayag - Rishikesh - Haridwar (160Kms)

Drive to Haridwar, enroute visit Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda Ashram & Gita Kutir). Arr. Haridwar Tour End.
