The class was tasked with being able to talk about something they were passionate about. The culmination of the event was to be able to talk about their passion with their community. It was an 8 week project that took about 2 hours of class time each week. The remaining time was done at home an during their "free time" at school. The projects varied from baking to rainforests, volcanoes to shopkins. The presented their work after school in our classroom, however we found we had too many guests, so we overflowed into an adjoining class for the evening!
Below are some work samples and pictures outlining the process
One students passion was gardening and they wanted to show how important sunlight was for plants.
This was a time-lapse they created of how the leaves on a plant moved toward the sun over time.
This was our first ever exhibition night. It was a great success with over 70 adults in attendance. We actually took over a second classroom as we could not fit everyone into Room 222.
