As the unofficial secretary of the Albany Community Collaborative, Chap Mahogany, LLC. lends its services of efficiency and creativity to share out information provided at the community meeting
Any events that are mentioned in the meetings are captured and shared via email and social media. The month of October was a big month for harvest festivals, trick or treat events, run/walk fundraisers as well as trunk or treat events throughout the Capital Region. Many of the colleges in the capital region offer summer programs for youth of all ages, including teenagers.

The programs being offered to the community are typically free or provide financial assistance. With the exception of HVCC and Sage, the other three colleges operates programs that provide students with academic engagement and full year support.

Three candidates were running for the Albany County District Attorney seat. There was a primary for this position. The graphic also provided information about a candidate forum that took place in the Albany community.
February is Black History and March is Women's History Month. Typically during these months, Black people and women are celebrated for their accomplishments and contributions. This year during February and March, women who lived or worked in the City of Albany were recognized. It is important for the community to understand that there are people in the community who look like them contributing to society in hopes of making a difference.
Black people and women were celebrated for leading an organization (executive director), working in the profession of collegiate athletics, as well as political leaders.
There will never be enough days in a year to celebrate the contributions of Black people and women to American history.

Albany's education system has a long history of having women and people of color at the helm of their school. All of these leaders represent traditional public schools and charter schools in the City of Albany.
