Research Topic 1
Wireless energy harvesting and wireless power transfer technologies (via far-field RF, mmWave and near-field coupling)
We have developed world-leading wireless energy harvesting systems to capture energy from ambient wireless signals with state-of-the-art efficiencies.
We have showcased the first real-world sensors fully powered by the wireless energy harvester.
We are pioneering the research in wireless power transfer via mmWave signals.
Research Topic 2
Stretchable and flexible electronics, sensors and RF devices, mechanically reconfigurable antennas and on-body flexible devices
We are developing emerging flexible antennas and circuits using advanced soft materials.
We aim to enable state-of-the-art on-body wireless connectivity, remote sensing and power autonomy for human-to-machine intelligence and smart healthcare.
This research is conducted in a wide collaboration partnership with researchers from material science, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering.
Research Topic 3
Dielectric antennas, dielectric resonators, liquid antennas and RF devices (liquid metal and liquid dielectrics)
We have developed emerging liquid antennas using unconventional liquid materials with radical properties (e.g. ionic liquid).
We have led the research activities in compact hybrid liquid & metal antenna engineering and new liquid reconfigurable antennas.
Research Topic 4
Metamaterials and metasurfaces in antennas, energy harvesting and sensing technologies
We are developing advanced meta-harvesters for eletromagnetic waves
We are developing meta-textiles for on-body shielding and protection
We are developing meta-sensors to detect man-kind activities.
