Infared is Sitri's friend, and has been for a few years now. He likes to bug Akari and Tyler, and doesn't seem to take much seriously. Tyler thinks he has a few screws loose, as Infared just randomly laughs and has a very eerie smile, but seems fine other than that. He drinks a little bit, and smokes with Tyler, but nothing other than that.

Infared had his horns torn out a few years before meeting Akari. No one besides Tyler and Sitri know why, and it caused Infared's stable mental state to go haywire. His new horns are prosthetic, a latch ditch attempt to try and "fix" him, that didn't work.

Infared can be seen doing many things, from "reading" (he's just staring at the pages), to cooking, which he seems to enjoy. He's broke into the castle armory many times just to stab at the walls and play with weapons. He's easily more dangerous than Sitri, but doesn't seem to ever use his powers or skills unless provoked.

Infared was best friends with Sitri, before ending up dating Mask for who knows why. It started out as a fling, but devolved into Mask uses Infared as a punching bag, metaphorically. Sitri tries to get him out of it, Infared refuses, bc fucking is fun. Sitri finds Infared out in the woods with his horns torn out, and in a pool of his own blood. Mask is basically gone from the castle, but trashes the little statue of Akari that is outside the castle (there's one for all the siblings, and Akari's is rebuilt). Infared basically hates Sitri for no reason, other than he let him live again. Infared basically lives in psychological pain a lot of the time, and is put in a mental institution/hospital, but displays a lot of signs of aggression. Overseer lets him out, and gives him his own room in the castle bc he feels bad for how his son acted, and lets him do the bounty hunting. Basically keeps him  in the castle to keep an eye on him. Overseer doesn't want Akari near him just due to how unstable Infared is. Tyler meets Infared after being ejected from Atlas's army. They get along, just barely. Akari ends up seeing Infared somewhere and talks to him. Starts insisting he needs to be the one who brings Infared his meds. So Infared starts seeing him as the one who takes his pain away (it's the meds). Never truly obsessed with Akari, but very determined to keep him safe. He's still truly insane and very unstable and has a lot of outbursts. 

Tyler and Infared get along, but are extreme opposites. Infared pisses off Tyler on purpose, and Tyler puts up with it. Tyler has seen the photos of Infared injured, but refuses to talk about or acknowledge them. He seems to just let Infared do his own thing, as long as he's not hurting Akari. Also Sitri is the one who bought Infared the prosthetic horns in hope it'll sooth Infared and make him like Sitri again. It didn't work. But Infared wears them anyway, but who knows why.

Sitri basically made him immortal as well to keep his best friend from dying.
