This Privacy Policy explains how ChannelFlow ("the app," "we," "us") handles information when you use the application. ChannelFlow is developed by [Developer/Company Name] ("the Developer").
SUMMARY
ChannelFlow is an IPTV/M3U/Xtream Codes media player. The app does not require account registration, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not operate any backend server that collects your data. Almost everything the app stores stays on your device.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We do not collect, receive, or have access to any of the following:
Your name, email address, or any account identifiers
Your playlist URLs, IPTV files, or Xtream Codes usernames and passwords
Your viewing history, favorites, or watch progress
Analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, or usage statistics
All of the data below is created and stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to the Developer:
Playlist information (name, source URL or file path, channel list, channel logos, group titles): stored in a local on-device database
Xtream Codes and IPTV login credentials (username and password): stored using the Android Keystore-backed secure storage system, encrypted at the operating-system level and never written to the app's regular database in plain text
Favorites and Continue Watching entries: stored locally so you can resume playback
EPG (TV guide) data downloaded from the guide URL you provide: cached locally on your device
THIRD-PARTY SERVERS YOU CONNECT TO
To play a channel or download a guide, the app must contact the playlist server, Xtream Codes panel, or EPG (XMLTV) URL that you configure. These are third-party services chosen and controlled by you, not by the Developer. When you use the app:
Your device connects directly to your chosen IPTV/EPG provider's servers to request the playlist, guide, and video/audio streams
Your Xtream Codes username and password are sent directly to that provider's server as part of the standard Xtream Codes protocol, exactly as they would be if you used any other compatible player
The Developer has no access to, and receives no copy of, this traffic
We encourage you to review the privacy practices of any IPTV, Xtream Codes, or EPG provider you choose to use, as their handling of your data is governed by their own policies, not this one.
PERMISSIONS
The app requests the following device permission:
Internet access: required to download playlists, EPG data, and video/audio streams
The app does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, storage of unrelated files, or any other sensitive permission beyond what is listed above, except the local file picker permission needed if you choose to import a playlist file from your device storage.
DATA SHARING
We do not sell, rent, or share any information with third parties. We do not use the data on your device for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app's core features (playing your streams and remembering your playlists/favorites).
DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
All app data lives on your device. You can delete it at any time by:
Removing a playlist from within the app (this also removes its stored credentials, favorites tied to it, and cached guide data)
Clearing the app's storage/data from your device's system settings
Uninstalling the app
Because we do not hold your data on any server, there is no separate deletion request process — removing the data from your device removes it entirely.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
ChannelFlow is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app requires users to supply their own third-party media sources and is intended for general audiences who manage their own IPTV subscriptions.
SECURITY
Xtream Codes and IPTV credentials are encrypted using the Android Keystore system before being stored on your device. No credential data is stored in plain text within the app's local database.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
