This page highlights my personal interest and goals in advancing volcanic tomography technology worldwide to enhance our understanding of complex volcanic processes across different geodynamic settings, plutonic intrusions, and non-volcanic areas. To date, we still face challenges such as constraining magma depth and resolving the geometry of crystal mush zones in meter-scale resolution. I believe extensive research has been and continues to be conducted to map these magma crystal mush zones in high resolution using geochemistry, geophysics, numerical models, lab and field studies, etc.
At the same time, we face a critical global situation: the impacts of climate change (often imperceptible to many) and soaring energy/living costs. Moving forward, I aim to expand my research and results by: 1. Clarifying dynamic volcanic processes, 2. Exploring and providing maps of conventional hydrothermal systems, superhot geothermal resources, and melt zones for promoting clean energy resource exploration/development, as well as volcanoes linked to critical minerals (e.g., lithium). I hope my research/results will contribute to high-resolution volcanic modeling/hazard prediction, lowering energy prices in the future, and delivering sustainable energy solutions.
