Yang-hao Chan is an assistant Research Associate in the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences, Academia Sinica. He received his BA and MS in physics from National Taiwan University in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He got his PhD in physics from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2013. Afterward, he worked as a Postdoc researcher in IAMS from 2014 to 2017. Before he comes back to IAMS he was a Project Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab 2017 to 2020.

YuTzu Chang

Research assistant

YuTzu got the BS and MS degree in Physics from National Tsing Hua University in 2020 and 2022, respectively. She loves to play piano, play badminton and go traveling. Her research interest is in condensed matter physics, especially in superconductivity and topological materials.

Yi-Shiuan Huang

Research assistant

Yi-Shiuan got the BS and MS degree in Physics from National Taiwan University in 2021 and 2023, respectively. He loves to play basketball and badminton. His research interest is in first principle excited states calculations.

Wen-Shin Lu

Student

I am interested in the properties of two-dimensional (2D) materials, including their electronic, optical and vibrational properties. I apply quantum mechanical modeling, such as density functional theory (DFT), as well as GW methods to understand the complex nonequilibrium system, such as excitons. My current focus is on applying  DFT to investigate the effects of magnetic properties of materials on their electron-phonon coupling and electronic transport.
