Design
Instructional Design is the systematic process of creating educational experiences and materials to help learners achieve specific goals effectively and efficiently. It involves analyzing learners' needs, defining objectives, designing content and activities, implementing strategies, and evaluating outcomes to ensure learning success.

ADDIE
Analysis - Figure out what you need to teach and who you're teaching it to. Understand the goals and problems.
Keywords: Goals, Audience, Needs, Context
Design - Plan how you'll teach based on the analysis. Decide on the best way to present the information.
Keywords: Objectives, Assessments, Strategies, Media
Development - Build the actual materials/contents/courses.
Keywords: Materials, Tools, Needs, Context
Implementation - Start testing what you've created with your testers. Adjust things along the way.
Keywords: Delivery, Access, Training, Support
Evaluation - Review the whole process and get feedback.

Gagné's Nine Levels of Learning
1. Gain attention: Start by grabbing the learner's interest.
2. Tell the learners the learning objective: Set clear goals so they know what to expect.
3. Stimulate recall of prior learning: Connect new information to what learners already know.
4. Present the stimulus: Teach the new content in a simple and organized way.
5. Provide learning guidance: Help learners understand how to use the new information.
6. Elicit performance: Give learners opportunities to practice what they have learned.
7. Provide feedback: Offer constructive feedback on their performance.
8. Assess performance: Evaluate how well learners have learned the material.
9. Enhance retention and transfer: Help learners apply what they've learned in different situations.

Reflection
ETEC 5440: I and my team learned a lot from this design process. Now that I look back and review the whole process, not only did we focus on the product details, but also we learned to cooperate with others. On top of that, we also learned project and time management during the process. This was a very rewarding experience for me.
Before this class, I had no idea how to design content. Now that I learned the entire ADDIE process, I can apply the knowledge to my teaching content. It changed my perspective as an instructor and designer. ADDIE gives me a structure and frame, that I can continue to build on it.
ETEC 6440: Having a reachable goal or objective is crucial. It's essential to select a project or topic that genuinely interests you. Reflecting on my current project, I realize the topic I chose is too broad. If given another opportunity, I would opt for a more specific topic, such as exploring my favorite game and its strategies.
I have a much better understanding of the instructional design process now. Even though, I would say the D&C model is much complicated than the ADDIE. However, on the other side, the D&C model brings you the opportunity to dive deeper into the problems and details.
