Hello and welcome to the Changing Women, Changing Lives: Nevada Women's Community Engagement website! This project is the result of a collaboration by six students in the Public History program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas over the course of two semesters between 2017 and 2018. The Public History program allows graduate students to combine their academic research interests with hands-on experience all while engaging with the community. This project is inspired by the upcoming one hundredth anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment passed in 1920, which prohibited the United States government from restricting voting rights based on sex.
We hope you enjoy the website and come away with a more in-depth understanding of women's history .
