Venue:

The workshop will take place at the Emilio Migneco Auditorium of the INFN Laboratori Nazionali del Sud (LNS), hosting the XRAYLAB of ISPC-CNR and located in the scientific campus of the University of Catania in Via Santa Sofia 62 (see the map below).

The workshop venue is easily accessible from the Catania airport Fontana Rossa via taxi (fare about 25 euro) and from the city center via the public bus line BRT1, which has a stop directly in front of the LNS entrance (Mappa delle linee - AMTS Catania). 

Alternatively, the metro line can be used with stop at the Milo station located about a 10-minute walk from the venue (Catania Metro Map | Metro Line Map ). 

Both the BRT1 bus line and the Metro line can be taken from the central Piazza Stesicoro.

We are also considering arranging a shuttle service for workshop participants, with a pick-up point in the city center to take you to the congress in the morning and back to the city center in the afternoon. Detailed information will be provided later on.

 It is strongly recommended to book your accommodation in the city center of Catania, a lively area well served in the evening hours. 

Workshop information:

Your access to the LNS must be authorized in advance; therefore, registration for the workshop through the dedicated page of the website is mandatory. At the LNS entrance, the security staff will check that your name appears on the list of registered participants.

For the preparation of your oral contributions at the workshop, please consider a maximum time of 20 minutes, which includes 5 minutes for discussion. Your presentations for the day must be uploaded to the dedicated computer in the conference room before the start of your session. Please use Power Point or PDF formats.
