Economy Class
These seats are usually narrower than in other classes (width around 40-48 centimeters). The distance between the seats (front to back) varies from 76 inches to 86 centimeters, so there is less legroom than in Business or First class.
Premium Economy
On international flights, the difference between Economy Class and Advanced Economy Class varies by airline, route, and aircraft type. In some cases, these seats can be very similar to standard economy seats, but with a few inches more recline, legroom, and seat width. They can be located in the front part of the main cabin, but not in a separate part. Popular examples include United's Economy Plus, Delta Comfort+, American's Main Cabin Extra, and JetBlue's Even More Space. You can also get priority boarding, free alcoholic drinks, and a wider selection of snacks. Some rooms have free luggage and a designated place for a trash can.
Business Class
Business class is an airplane seat that is more expensive than economy class but cheaper than first class. Generally, business class is for business travelers. The difference between first class and economy class is usually in service, seats, and food. Business class is a class of air travel that offers passengers better comfort, service, and amenities than economy class. You'll usually find business class seats in the nicer part of the plane, behind first class, but still separated from the economy/upmarket curtain.
First Class
First class is an airplane seat that has more space and is more comfortable than other seats, often by a factor of ten. For example, while the main cabin (market economy) cabin can have nine or ten rows of seats (in a 3-4-3 configuration), first class can only have rows of four seats (in a 1-2-1 configuration). Depending on the airline, international first class may include a private car service to the airport, a private lounge in the terminal, caviar and champagne in-flight, a recliner, or even a private compartment with a lounge and bed. Because there are fewer seats, each passenger receives more individual attention and service from the flight attendant.
