If your cellular data connection is working correctly, you shouldn't need to change the cellular settings. However, if you're having cellular connection problems, changing one or more settings may help.

If you set a data limit in Data usage settings for your cellular data connection, Windows can help you stay under your data limit and set the metered connection setting for you. For more info about how to set a data limit, see Set your data limit.

If your cellular data connection isn't working and you can't connect to the Internet, type a new internet APN based on your location and mobile operator. If you can connect to a Wi Fi network on your Windows 11 device or have a phone handy, try searching online to find the internet APN settings for your mobile operator.

Determines which SIM or eSIM profile is used for your cellular data connection. To help control costs, you can choose the cellular network connection to use for cellular data. For example, you might choose one SIM or eSIM profile over another because data costs less. This setting only appears on Windows 10 devices that have both a SIM and an eSIM. For more about using an eSIM, see Use an eSIM to get a cellular data connection on your Windows 10 PC.

In most cases, the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) automaticallyconfigures your system to use the IP addresses of your ISP's domain nameservers. To use Google Public DNS, you need to explicitly change the DNSsettings in your operating system or device to use the Google Public DNS IPaddresses. The procedure for changing your DNS settings varies according tooperating system and version (Windows, Mac, Linux, or ChromeOS) or the device(computer, phone, or router). We give general procedures here that might notapply for your OS or device; consult your vendor documentation for authoritativeinformation.

Before you change your DNS settings to use Google Public DNS, be sure to writedown the current server addresses or settings on a piece of paper. It is veryimportant that you keep these numbers for backup purposes, in case you need torevert to them at any time.

Playback error Connect to Wifi or change your settings for streaming music. I have cellular data turned on in settings for both the app and Apple Music. Amazon Music and Spotify also won't play and both have cellular data turned on. I have restarted the device, closed all apps, turned wifi off and on, logged in and out of icloud...tried anything and everything.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're unable to stream over cellular data from various musics services (Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Spotify specifically). This is occurring even though cellular data seems to be on for those apps. I'm happy to help!

If you don't see that parental controls are set up but are still unable to stream your content over cellular data, check to see if there are any updates to your iOS software: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support or your carrier settings: Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

The MX67C and MX68CW have an embedded LTE module for cellular failover connections. These are configured by selecting the edit (pencil) button next to Status and then select Enabled. More information on configuring integrated cellular interfaces can be found in the MX67/MX68 Installation Guide.

For those using a manual Wifi configuration, know that Cloudflare's DNS is not used for your cellular data. Your iOS device will only use a custom DNS on connections that have it configured. There is not a way to configure cellular DNS on iOS at this time - your carrier settings will be used. For this reason, I suggest using the official Cloudflare app.

"These instructions only work for Wi-Fi connections because iOS does not allow you to change the DNS servers when connected to cellular networks. Also, the changes are network specific, so you'll need to change the DNS servers every time you connect to a new wireless network."

DNS Override worked for me on the tests, although I noted some bad reviews around battery life. Having a quick look at doing this via a profile and Apple Configurator software, seems you can set-up a profile with proxy DNS settings, but the profile just allows you to refer to a bundle within an iOS application. Looks like you do need an app like DNS Override in order to change cellular DNS, and can't be done through profile on it's own.

This wasn't always the default option. In the past, incoming calls would take over your entire display when your iPhone was unlocked. It was disruptive, sure, but it also got the job done. The banner may be a welcome change for many because it's more discreet and allows you to use your phone while receiving a call.

My guess is the wifi throughput between your iPhone and your access point is still perfectly fine even when Comcast service to your AP goes down. My understanding is Wi-Fi Assist will switch you over to cellular when the connection to the AP is bad. But in your case that connection is fine, the problem is further upstream.

Hopefully, you were able to learn how to update your iPhone using a cellular connection. Does Apple allow you to download iOS updates over LTE from where you live? Are you paying for an unlimited cellular data plan? Do share your experiences and make sure to leave your valuable feedback in the comments section down below.

To set up a cellular connection with your device, just drop the below example configuration into a file in the /resin-boot/system-connections/ directory in the .img or on SD card (if you have it flashed with the OS already) and name it something like cellular. Replace the apn= and number= values with your mobile providers APN and PPP dialing number. If your mobile carrier requires a password and username, you will need to add those as well. For a more in depth look at available settings options for GSM, have a look at Table 58. gsm setting in the NetworkManager GSM settings reference.

While the iPhone screen is smaller than a TV or computer, it will still play any movie available in the iTunes store. Every iPhone is equipped with an iTunes application, and once you sign in with your Apple ID, movie downloads are initiated in just seconds. By default, the iPhone looks for a wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) connection to download your new movie. If you don't have access to Wi-Fi, change your device settings to allow downloads via cellular network connections.

If you still experience issues after following the above steps, please switch your connectivity from cellular to Wifi or Wifi to cellular. While Wifi connections are typically an improvement over cellular, that is not always the case. Please understand that "bar" indicators on devices indicate the strength of a signal, but not network congestion or integrity, which can impact application performance. For personal Wifi connections, we recommend restarting your internet modem and router, even if other devices are working properly.

When viewing MLB.TV content, you can tap the "CC" button on the video player to enable or disable closed captioning. Please note that the device "Closed Captioning" settings may override the application. If you're unable to disable closed captioning in the MLB app, please navigate to your device Settings > General > Accessibility > Subtitles & Captioning section, and ensure "Closed Captions + SDH" is disabled. If this setting is already "disabled" and closed captioning still can't be controlled in the app, you may need to toggle the setting "On/Off" to reset it within the operating system.

Below a bank of options near the top of the "Cellular" settings page, you'll see a section titled "Cellular Data." At the top of that, you'll see "Current Period" with a cumulative data count beside it. This is how much cellular data you've used in total during the current period.

The Settings app offers access to additional Wi-Fi settings in Windows 10. Click the Advanced options entry just below the last wireless network in the list. For example, users can decide whether to make the system discoverable -- this should be off in any public network venue -- or to watch data usage -- which is handy for limited data use plans. Users can also choose Manage Wi-Fi settings to control how the system connects to networks.

You can also tap Data Mode in the cellular settings and pick Allow More Data on 5G for higher quality video for streaming and things like FaceTime. And the opposite, Low Data Mode for when you want to conserve.

Note: Breakdown or repair of this product may cause loss of fax and network data and settings. Epson is not responsible for backing up or recovering data and settings during or after the warranty period. We recommend that you make your own backup or print out your fax and network data and settings.

Internet may not work if the time and date settings are incorrect. The easiest way to fix that is from Settings > General > Date & Time and enable Set Automatically. Now, restart your iPhone, and cellular data should work fine.

Important: If you remain within the internet settings, you can press the Y Button to have the Nintendo Switch console search for networks.Perform this search for networks after any changes are made to the Nintendo Switch console or network environment.

The Nintendo Switch console supports WEP, WPA-PSK(AES), and WPA2-PSK(AES). If your router is using a different security type (e.g. WPA-PSK(TKIP)), you will need to change this security type within your router's settings. ff782bc1db
