Nomad Hub: Beyond Coworking
Creating a sociable workspace by blending second and third places for productivity and community.
Thesis Statement: To create a sociable working environment by combining second and third place elements, fostering a space where people can work productively while engaging in community and social interactions.
The project aims to address the challenges faced by digital nomads and remote workers by integrating elements of both second and third places, fostering a sociable and productive work environment. While current trends show a shift towards flexible workspaces, issues such as isolation, lack of engagement, and mental well-being concerns often drive individuals back to traditional employment. By incorporating communal spaces, greenery, interactive areas, and four coworking space options, namely Solo Pod, Work Oasis, Kitty Corner, and Collab Zone, the coworking space offers a balanced solution that enhances productivity while fostering social interactions. The expected impact includes improved well-being, stronger community connections, and contributions to sustainable urban development, aligning with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
