What is your technician ID?
Officially rocking the CPST world as Technician T845103!
What do Child Passenger Safety Technicians (CPSTs) do, and why are they so important?
They specialize in car seats, booster seats, and vehicle safety systems, helping families understand the best ways to protect their little passengers. Through hands-on education and valuable resources, CPSTs make sure every ride is as safe as possible!
Who’s behind the training for Child Passenger Safety Technicians?
That would be the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)! They created the original curriculum and keep it updated.
Who can benefit from a car seat consultation?
✅ Expecting parents who want to master the art of car seat installation before their little one arrives!
✅ Caregivers who want total peace of mind knowing their car seat is installed correctly (because safety is everything).
✅ Anyone wondering, "What’s next?" when it comes to transitioning their child’s car seat—no more guessing!
Basically, if you want confidence, clarity, and a safer ride for your kiddo, a consultation is for you!
Is a fire station car seat check enough?
Not always! While some firefighters may be certified, many are not, and fire stations are no longer required to offer car seat checks. Due to the wide variety of car seats and booster seats on the market, it's best to have your installation checked by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) to ensure it meets the latest safety standards and is correctly installed for your child and vehicle.
Can you help me choose the right car seat?
While my training doesn’t focus on specific car seat brands, I can absolutely guide you through the key factors to consider! I’ll help you ask the right questions—like compatibility with your vehicle, ease of use, safety features, and your child’s specific needs—so you can confidently choose the best seat for your family.
