Welcome to (Organic)Material Science and Engineering Lab.
Organic chemistry offers a powerful platform for the design and synthesis of functional molecules with tailored properties. Our research aims to use organic chemistry for developing smart materials for aqueous (organo)catalysis, controlled release of desired species for biomedical applications and environmental remediations. Taking the cue from Nature, we focus on creating systems that mimic natural processes and structures in "Nature-like" environment. Our (Organic)Material Science and Engineering research group focuses on the synthesis of functional organic molecules and preparation of self-assembled materials in aqueous media. We employ state-of-the-art spectroscopic and microscopic techniques to unravel their structure–function relationships, paving the way for sustainable and responsive (bio)chemical systems
