16. Anonymous App Analytics and Firebase
Updated: 30 August 2026
To understand how the app is used and to improve its features, reliability, accessibility and user experience, the app collects limited pseudonymous analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Authentication and Firebase Realtime Database to process and store these reports.
Information collected may include:
• a randomly generated app-installation identifier and Firebase/analytics identifiers;
• app version, Android/device information, language, and country or region derived from device settings or network information (not GPS or precise location);
• app opens and use of screens or features;
• puzzle difficulty, puzzle starts, resumptions and completions, including daily, scanned, book and transferred puzzles;
• use of Coach, Boosts, hints, X-ray, Magic Wand, Auto Heal, sharing, scanning and device-transfer features;
• voluntary rewarded-ad events and IQ Coin balance ranges, earning or spending categories, and purchase-flow status (we do not receive or store payment-card details); and
• current app preference categories, such as theme, board colour, language, audio/vibration choices, gameplay options and approximate visual/accessibility ranges.
These reports do not include your name, email address, contacts, camera images, scanned document images, puzzle contents, support-email contents or precise location. They are not used to build an advertising profile or to identify you personally.
Analytics events are first counted locally on the device. When a suitable internet connection is available, the app may upload a compact daily report in the background. Poor-signal reports remain queued and uploading does not need to interrupt gameplay. Daily records use an installation identifier so retrying an upload can replace the same report instead of duplicating it.
We use this information to measure feature usefulness, understand general regional and version trends, improve gameplay and accessibility, balance the optional IQ Coin and advertising experience, diagnose broad usage problems and decide which features should receive further development.
Google processes this information on our behalf through Firebase and Google Analytics services. Information is encrypted in transit where supported. Reports are organised as rolling daily records and are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for recent usage analysis, service security and maintenance. Aggregated statistics may be retained longer where they no longer reasonably identify an installation.
You may prevent future app analytics uploads by uninstalling the app. Clearing app storage resets locally stored analytics information, although Android backup or Google services may restore some app data. You may contact kodikaracs@gmail.com to ask questions or request deletion. Because analytics are not connected to your name or email address, we may be unable to locate a particular anonymous report unless a relevant technical identifier is available.
