CHALLENGES OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING IX: VOICES OF CREATIVITY AND REASON IN ELT

Ninth International Conference: Voices of Creativity and Reason in ELT, Ústí nad Labem, 17-18 October, 2019

The Department of English at the Faculty of Education of Purkyne University announces its ninth international conference for academics and practitioners involved in educating teachers of foreign languages.

CHALLENGES is an ongoing series of conferences organized by the English Department at Purkyne University (UJEP). The main aim of the conference is to share current views, new trends, innovative ideas and experience in foreign language teaching and teacher education.

Further, we encourage submissions from graduate students whose research and practice fall broadly under the cover terms of ELT, TESL/TEFL, and applied linguistics as well as cultural and literary studies. The plenaries will be held by internationally renowned researchers.

Abstract submissions pertaining, but not limited, to the following key terms are welcome:

Applied linguistics

Language & education

ELT & methodology

Teacher education and development

Cultural studies

Literary studies

A selection of accepted papers will be published in our series of ELT volumes by an international publishing house.

We are able to partly fund the conference from a research grant which enables us to WAIVE the conference fee.
