Sage Capogreco founded Chalkster in 2022 as a small startup. She was inspired by the needs of her co-workers at the International Institute for Educational Planning under UNESCO (IIEP-UNESCO). There she developed online learning materials for many courses offered by IIEP and helped facilitate dozens of live sessions on topics ranging from early childhood education to disability-inclusive learning.
Before that, Sage worked as an intern with the International Training Centre for the International Labour Organization (ITC-ILO) on e-Learning design and “gamification” projects to facilitate online learning and promote innovative learning methodologies.
Currently, Sage is finishing her Master's degree at the University of British Columbia in Educational Technology. She has a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Ottawa.
