Research

Dr. Chakrabarty and his group have been conducting research focusing on the themes of

  1. Addressing Grand Challenges Associated with Radiative Forcing by Carbonaceous Aerosols,
  2. Open-Source and User-Interactive Aerosol Physics Software Development,
  3. Advances in Fundamental Aerosol Physics, and
  4. Aerosol Instrumentation and Engineering Techniques

These thematic areas have a tremendous broader impact in the societally highly relevant research areas of radiative forcing and climate change, satellite remote sensing, and governmental policy making (especially in developing countries). Dr. Chakrabarty's group has also been very active in training and educating current and future aerosol scientists through rendering extensive service to and other activities within various aerosol societies.
