Prologue
Prologue
I never sat down one day and said, “I’ll be a writer.”
Writing walked into my life uninvited.
It slipped into my habits and into the way I looked at the world.
Some kids had sports.
Some had music.
I had words.
It wasn’t survival. And it wasn’t planned.
It just came naturally.
Like breathing, but sharper.
Like every thought was already waiting to be written before I even spoke it.
At first, it wasn’t about careers or clients.
It was just… instinct.
I wrote because I couldn’t not.
And slowly, I realized that words weren’t just mine.
They reached people. They echoed. They mattered.
That’s when everything else began.
...
One by one, the roles stacked up: editor, proofreader, beta reader, critic, ghost, even a voice.
Each one was a layer, a mask, and a way of working with words and people differently.
But writing will always be my first language; the root of everything I do.
The first time someone noticed my writing was myself.
Weird, it might be, but I had the eye of an eagle who could spot potential from a mile away.
And so my attempt to break into this skill fully, where it'd become the core of me, began 8+ years ago.
And if writing is the root, then editing & proofreading are the soil where it’s tested.
... Where words either hold or fall apart.
...
Sometimes, writing doesn’t politely knock; it storms in.
It happened to me once while I was deep in my Notion drafts.
Everything blurred out, like the universe grabbed my collar and said, "Write this. NOW."
That moment turned into this piece below; so instinctual, where no overthinking was involved.
Just words clawing their way out.
—
"What I learned when navigating my journey as an Architect of Intellect.
Whilst I was updating my writing on Notion, engrossed in the story I've written, I took a step back.
My POV just took over, and my perspective switched places with my consciousness.
I had no control, as the slip was like the air I inhale, and so the reflection began.
During the time I started freelancing and building my personal brand, I realized that this is just a game of assumptions.
Your held beliefs are what shape your next move and the outcome you wish for.
It's simple physics.
What I was doing was a beginner's game at this point; nobody said anything about the level-up.
Nobody talks about the transition that happens in-between your work and your hustle.
The shift that happens, where the real work lies.
So many leaders out there talk about progress, but has anybody ever delved into the psychology and the transition that happens underneath the work?
The move and the readiness for when you want to expand or refine your strategy or plan?
Nada.
I had a struggle during these times, and I was completely nearing the verge of tripping on my own steps.
That's when I realized that my writing, editing, and freelancing were the tip of the iceberg.
And oh boy, the game is f*cked.
Yet I'm set to create the definitive rules for it, ones that will expose the tricks and tactics that most people aren't even aware of.
As I'm sitting here writing this post for you, I want to say something that's itching me, something that's making me smirk right now...
You're in it to win it. And I'll be the one who shifts the living out of this game.
And if you want to sit here and watch, then do that...
But will you be part of the wreck?
You know, order without chaos is boring."
—
But of course…
Chaos met its match.
I cleaned it up, and turned it into a LinkedIn piece that hits different.
I didn’t forget; you’ll see the edited version on the next page.
