K-2 P.E. Distance Learning Activities

Do 5 of your favorite exercises from P.E. class. Do 10 of each exercise. Examples: jumping jacks, scissor jumps, downhill skiers, invisible jump ropes, crazy 8’s, etc…

Animal Charades. This activity requires a partner (like your Mom, Dad, brother, or sister). Choose an animal and act it out. Don’t tell your partner! They must guess. Take turns and play a few rounds.

Letter Charades. This activity requires a partner (like your Mom, Dad, brother, or sister). Write down the alphabet on a piece of paper. Secretly pick a letter and try to make that shape with your body. You can stand or lay (on a clean surface). Your partner must guess the letter! Try to do the entire alphabet.

Dance to 3 of your favorite songs. As an alternative to dancing, you can jump, jog, or march to your 3 favorite songs.

Go on a walk for 20 minutes. You must have permission and stay with an adult. This is a great chance to talk about healthy foods and habits!

Play “I See.” Just like we play in P.E., your partner starts by saying: “I see,” You respond by asking “what do you see?” The family member responds by saying “I see a...” They can pick an animal or anything appropriate such as a kangaroo or a dolphin. You must then act it out. After a few minutes your partner will repeat the process.

Balance beam. With your parent’s permission, stick a long piece of tape on the ground. Practice walking back and forth on the tape without falling off. Use two pieces of tape side by side and try to jump from one to the other.

Play Simon Says. Have a family member play with you. This is a great activity to help you identify parts of your body.

Repeat your favorite activity from this list!
