Chain Reaction is a physics puzzle game published by Glitchy Toad Games (www.glitchytoad.co.za), which is responsible for the data described here. This policy covers the iOS and Android versions of the game.
THE SHORT VERSION
Your progress, settings, stars, coins and saved sandbox machines stay on your device. There is no account and no cloud save.
The game shows ads through Google AdMob. Google receives some device data to show them (see below).
You choose, once, after the first few levels: Essential only or Accept all. You can change the answer any time in Settings > Privacy.
Chain Reaction does not sell your data and does not collect your name, email, contacts, photos or precise location.
WHAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
Progress, settings, purchases you have made, sandbox machines and gameplay statistics (for example levels cleared and hints used) are stored only on your device. Deleting the game removes them, and Settings > Privacy > Delete my data clears them at any time.
The game counts gameplay events (such as "level completed") to balance its levels. These counts are kept on your device and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)
Chain Reaction is free and is supported by ads: a full-screen ad between levels (never during the first levels or in the middle of a run), and optional video ads you choose to watch for a reward.
To show ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and sends to Google: your device's IP address (from which an approximate location may be inferred), device and operating-system information, app interaction and ad interaction data, diagnostic data, and a device identifier. What happens next depends on your choice:
Essential only: the game asks Google for non-personalised ads. On iOS the game never asks for permission to track you, so your advertising identifier (IDFA) is not available to Google.
Accept all: the game asks for personalised ads. On iOS, Apple then asks whether the app may track you; only if you allow it can Google use your advertising identifier.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent message may also appear, and "Ad privacy choices" in Settings > Privacy lets you change that choice.

LEADERBOARDS (OPTIONAL)
If you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), your scores for the Daily Machine and the Weekly Challenge are sent to Apple or Google with your player name for their leaderboards. Apple's and Google's privacy policies apply to that service. If you are not signed in, the leaderboard shows only your own best on this device.
PURCHASES
In-app purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We receive only confirmation that a purchase succeeded, never your payment details.
CHILDREN
Chain Reaction is made for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the game with personalised ads enabled, contact us and use Settings > Privacy to turn them off.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Change your ads and analytics choices in Settings > Privacy at any time.
On iOS, change tracking permission in the iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
On Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in the device's Settings > Google > Ads.
Delete everything the game stores with Settings > Privacy > Delete my data, or by uninstalling it.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, POPIA or US state laws) you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, and to object to its processing. Because the game keeps your data on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the game; for data held by Google, Apple or other services, use their tools or contact us and we will help.
CHANGES
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
