We're delighted you're interested in joining our group! We are currently seeking sopranos, tenors, and/or beatboxers.
Chai Dynamics does not hold regularly scheduled auditions. Instead, we encourage interested parties to reach out to us to attend a few rehearsals to get a sense of how our group interacts and functions. After your third "visiting" rehearsal, we will ask you to commit to a formal audition date, in which you'll audition for the Music Director, President, and a couple other members of the group.
Auditions typically last around 15 minutes and involve the following:
Singing 30 seconds to 1 minute of a prepared solo song of your choice that showcases your voice
Scales to determine your upper and lower vocal range
Musical and rhythmic sight reading
Pitch matching
Hebrew pronunciation
Singing through a prepared section of one of the group's songs with group members
