Bio

Dr. Chad Waxman provides clinical and forensic assessment in a variety of areas including public safety, media, civil litigation, and within the criminal justice system including work with trauma and battered women syndrome. He has experience working as the chief psychologist of a police and public safety firm, as a forensic psychologist within a jail based competency restoration program and as a psychologist and program coordinator for an outpatient therapy program for legally involved juveniles also conducting assessment for juvenile court. 

Dr. Waxman is currently a forensic psychologist for the State of Colorado and an Adjunct Professor at Nova Southeastern University’s Masters in Forensic Psychology Program and Doctoral Program in Criminal Justice. He is a graduate from Nova Southeastern University's Clinical Psychology Program and completed his Pre-Doctoral Internship with the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Worth. Dr. Waxman holds a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and completed a concentration in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Waxman has provided therapeutic services to children/adolescents who have been referred to diversion services with an emphasis on sexually inappropriate behaviors as well as those with a variety of clinical disorders. He has also been an Adjunct Instructor teaching Psychology at several colleges and universities since 2010. 

Prior to obtaining his doctorate in clinical psychology, Dr. Waxman was a past Program Manager for the Prevention of Alcohol and other Drug Abuse, Compulsive Gambling, and Suicide, Co-Coordinator for the MedLinks Peer Advocacy Program, and helped initiate and served as Co-Coordinator of the Program for Violence Prevention and Response (VPR) all at the Center for Health Promotion and Wellness at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Medical. Dr. Waxman volunteered for the Middle Earth Peer Assistance Program at the University at Albany, State University of New York in a variety of contexts and is currently their alumni board chair .
