Hello and welcome, I am Markus a master student in the Artificial Intelligence program at Chang Gung University. Originally, I am from Germany, where I got my bachelor’s degree in computer science at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW). My research interests lie at the intersection of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and distributed computing, exploring ways to enhance intelligent and adaptive digital ecosystems. Before joining Chang Gung University, I gained experience working in software development where I got hands-on experience in software engineering, cloud technologies, and data-driven applications, equipping me with a practical understanding of modern computing challenges. As part of the Intelligent Cyber-Physical Systems Research Lab, I engage in research that contributes to the development of more efficient, automated, and scalable computing infrastructures. I am passionate about leveraging AI-driven approaches to push the boundaries of next-generation technologies and autonomous digital systems. Outside of my research, I enjoy working out and going on hikes to stay active, clear my mind and to disconnect from the digital world. Music is another passion of mine, and I find playing the piano both relaxing and rewarding, offering a creative outlet beyond my academic work. I also enjoy chess, which challenges me to think strategically. Each of these activities brings a different kind of balance to my daily life and I appreciate the mix of physical, creative, and mental challenges these activities provide.
I am a dedicated undergraduate student in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at Chang Gung University, focused on both research and practical applications of deep learning. As part of our LLM and Intelligent microservice orchestration project in this lab, I take the lead in coordinating team tasks, offering technical insights, and managing Edge Intelligence hardware deployment. My core expertise lies in implementing deep learning models and image recognition technologies—particularly YOLO—and I continually explore new ways to leverage these skills for real-world impact. From 2024 to 2025, I am collaborating with Lin Jhe-Heng to develop a “Smart Traffic Analysis System,” which aims to help enterprises optimize vehicle flow. Alongside my AI-driven work, I have hands-on experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring that our solutions remain scalable and robust.
Additional my technical pursuits, I am also an active contributor in the Chinese orchestra community, serving as a conductor, Erhu (二胡) player, composer, and arranger. Balancing both the analytical and creative aspects of my life allows me to tackle challenges with fresh ideas and a unique perspective.
