Hi there, my name is Liam Soufi and I'm a 2nd year masters' student within the Department of Civil Engineering. I've been a member of the CGS-MB Student Chapter ever since I realized I wanted to pursue a career in geotechnical engineering. Since first joining the student chapter in my undergraduate degree I've had several opportunities to gain exposure to the field of geotechnical engineering and now feel comfortable taking the next step and doing my part to introduce other students to the field. I intend to bring effective communication and collaboration skills as well as a positive attitude to not only the rest of the Executive Team but also other members and friends of the student chapter.
Greetings! I’m Marziyeh Fathalikhani, currently finalizing my PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. With over five years of experience in designing geotechnical structures, my PhD research aims to enhancement of the serviceability and functionality level of infrastructures in cold region. I am deeply passionate about geotechnics and committed to contributing to our field. By participating in the CGS Student Chapter, I strive to create opportunities for other students to engage and develop their interests in geotechnical engineering, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment for all.
