Dr. Hung-Wei Yang obtained his Ph.D. degree from Chang Gung University in Taiwan. He then worked as postdoctoral research fellow in Department of Chemical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan (2011/08~2013/02) and School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology in USA (2013/03~2014/07). He joined the faculty of the Institute of Medical Science and Technology, National Sun Yat-sen University in 2014/08 and became an Associate Professor in 2018/02. His research interests are NanoBiomaterials for drug/gene delivery, virus-like particles-based cancer vaccine and gene therapy, microneedles-based intradermal drug/vaccine delivery system, and biosensor integrated with smartphone for medical use and personal healthcare.
