Satellite Training Institute: Refers to a training facility or program that provides specialized training to Coast Guard personnel. To provide training on basic, specialization, and functional courses relevant to the performance of the core functions of CGIG-IAS
Functions:
Provide technical (TESDA) and professional courses, training, and workshops to CGIG-IAS personnel;
Formulate training objectives, programs, and directives required to attain and maintain professionalism;
Ensure a high standard of teaching and the material to be used;
Prepare and review the design and expansion of short-term and long-term education and training development programs based on the needs of CGIG-IAS; and
Perform other tasks as may be directed by the Inspector General.
