According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan), nationals of eligible countries may enter Taiwan without a visa for stays of 14, 30, or 90 days, depending on nationality.
Important Requirements:
Passports must be valid for at least six months before expiration at the time of entry.
(U.S. and Japanese passports must be valid for the entire intended stay.)
Visa-exempt travelers must present proof of onward or return travel from Taiwan, such as a confirmed flight ticket or other documentation showing departure from the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Travelers must complete the online Arrival Card within three days before entry via the National Immigration Agency website.
Visa-exempt entry is generally permitted for tourism, academic exchange, conferences, business visits, and similar short-term activities. Visitors intending to engage in employment or activities requiring official authorization must apply for an appropriate visa in advance.
