For this political strategy game, I focused on creating a proper game feel, before focusing on balance, as the intended game feel was inherently unbalanced. It was important to create a game that felt like it embodies certain elements of U.S. presidential elections. Once players felt as though the system was inherently unfair, I then focused on balancing the game so that it became a more fun experience while still maintaining the intended game feel.
