Parish Chest

Parish Chest is the commercial service of Family History Federation, providing an online shop for 64 member family history societies to sell their publications and subscriptions, Cumbria FHS entrusts the sale of our 220 publications and membership subscriptions to them. 

You can browse or purchase Cumbria FHS Publications  - the link displays all our publications in alphabetic order. You can filter by selecting from category to the list on the left.
Note that this opens up a session on their site in a new tab, which you should close when you have finished in order to return to this site.

You can buy or renew Cumbria FHS Memberships on their website. There are different subscription options.

On the Parish Chest site, if you select a product, it will be presented on a page with more detail, where you can add it to your basket. You can continue shopping, or click on Checkout.

• For printed publications, CDs and subscriptions, you will have to fill in your details on the Checkout screen.

• For downloads, you will first have to register/log in.

In all cases, you will then enter your Visa/PayPal details on the secure payment screen.

When payment is accepted, you will receive a confirmation from Parish Chest.

If it is an instant download, this will include a link for instant delivery. 

For other publication types, Parish Chest will transmit the order to Cumbria FHS and we will  despatch the publication or CD.
