We got to go to Disneyland and perform in the parade and we went to Hawaii. We were selected as one of the only high schools in the United States to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade in New York City. We worked incredibly hard and even had 13 hour practice days on Saturdays. The band directors Mrs. Shane and Mr. Sepulveda really showed me the importance of music and its effects on people, and how to portray emotion through playing."
