Individuals must be 10 years removed from CFHS and earned at least first team All-League or went on to have college or professional football recognition. In a rare instance when CFHS is or was not in a League or Conference, the Selection Committee may consider the player’s total contributions to the program.
Team is eligible 10 years from the completion of their season. Team must have earned, at a minimum, a League Championship. In a rare instance when CFHS is or was not in a league or Conference, the Selection Committee may consider the team’s record and contributions to the program.
Head Coach is eligible 10 years after his last season and must have been Head Coach for at least 5 years. Consideration should be based on the coach’s win/loss record and followed by accomplishments that merit league, county, or state wide recognition or significant contributions to the CFHS football program or a positive impact on his/her players.
Assistant Coach must have coached for a minimum of 12 years in the Cuyahoga Falls system. This includes time spent at the middle school as well as time spent at the high school level. The individual’s dedication, commitment and loyalty to the program will be highly considered.
Special/Service: Special/Service candidates include school administrators as well as non-school related individuals who have made major contributions to the Cuyahoga Falls Football Program. This category could include individuals who have volunteered their time and efforts to the program, individuals who have provided financial assistance or individuals who, in the Selection Committee’s opinion, are deserving.
Nominations may be made by current or former faculty, administration or staff, alumnus, parent of an alumnus, or community member. Notifications for nomination will be made public through the Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club Website, CFHS Athletic Department, school websites, community and local newspapers, and any other appropriate means.
All entries must be submitted using the Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club Hall of Fame nomination form. The form can be found on the Black Tiger Gridiron Alumni Club website.
Deadline for nominations will be the Friday before Thanksgiving each year.
Nominees shall be persons of good character, citizenship and sportsmanship. Teams and individual records, statistics, contributions to the team, and certain intangibles are all to be considered.
The Selection Committee shall be free to select inductees from all eras of Cuyahoga Falls Football. All members will have a pre-selection list and helpful information at the discussion meetings. Selection Committee members must attend at least one of the two discussion meetings to be eligible to participate in the voting process.
75% of the vote is required to be elected into the Hall of Fame. A quorum of the Selection Committee members is required for voting.
Maximum number of inductees should be no more than 5 per year unless special circumstances occur that would be decided by the Selection Committee.
