During my Engineering 100 course, I was in charge of the power systems architecture and structural design for an autonomous vehicle prototype. Leveraging my background in electrical systems, I was responsible for selecting the power side of the project, which involved calculating battery capacity, determining system voltages, and designing the wiring configuration to ensure stable power delivery to the dual-fan propulsion system. In addition to the electronics, I utilized my rapid prototyping experience to design and fabricate the main chassis base and the steering rudder system using 3D printing. This project served as an excellent hands-on integration of mechanical assembly, power management, and additive manufacturing, perfectly bridging my field background with core engineering design principles.
