About Me

I am M-J C. Cervantes (M-J, not M.J.).  Born on June 19th, 2005, I'm currently a 19-year-old sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Secondary Education with a major in English. While teaching wasn't my initial aspiration—financial constraints prevented me from pursuing my preferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program—I remain committed to achieving my ultimate goals, even if the path is unconventional.

My true passion lies in the world of fashion and modeling.  I envision my daily life as a personal runway, where I express myself through aesthetically pleasing outfits.  The runway, fashion, and makeup are integral parts of my dream to become a model; they significantly boost my self-assurance and confidence.  This creative drive extends to my proficiency in digital video and photo editing, allowing me to further explore my artistic inclinations.  While I lack the skills in traditional drawing, my digital creativity is a strong outlet.

One of my significant weaknesses is my tendency to be a people-pleaser.  Saying "no" to those close to me is a considerable challenge, often leading to overcommitment and difficulties in time management.  While I appreciate their consideration, these commitments sometimes negatively impact my own well-being, creating a conflict between my desire to help others and my need to prioritize my own needs.  Despite occasional regrets, I remain grateful for the relationships that have led to these situations.

Conversely, my strengths lie in my ability to confidently communicate ideas and information to large audiences.  Public speaking comes naturally, and I genuinely enjoy connecting with new people, readily forging friendships.  This ease in social interaction complements my creative pursuits and contributes to a well-rounded personality.
