My ultimate professional goal is to become a planetary geologist and work with other determined scientists such as myself. I currently envision myself working in a laboratory environment, potentially with NASA, SpaceX, or some other entity that is primarily dedicated to large-scale efforts of space exploration around the world.
As an undergraduate, my way of working towards this goal is to gain as much hands-on experience as I can while I have the opportunity to. Applying to internships and mentorship programs has been essential to making my learning journey one to remember. Along the way, I've made lifelong friends and valuable connections. The next milestone achievement in my academic career is to graduate from my bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.
Graduate school - I would like to attend graduate school at an institution outside of Puerto Rico, to get a PhD in Planetary Geology. It is currently my belief that space exploration would provide me with a career learning about the topics that inspire me. My heart becomes full with enthusiasm when thinking of the unknown facts about space, and the many stories waiting to be told by extraterrestrial geomorpholgical formations.
