FAB are a researcher-led charity dedicated to informing, educating and transforming lives through advancing and sharing findings from scientific research into the links between nutrition and human behaviour.
FAB recognises the urgent need to raise awareness of the fundamental role that food and diet play in supporting mental health, wellbeing and performance. To do that, they promote and support education and training, as well as world-leading research on the relationships between nutrition, brain function, and behaviour.
Their work spans a wide variety of different fields, linking together key findings on how nutrition can influence brain health and development, shaping both normal individual differences in behaviour, mood and learning, and various mental conditions or disorders.
They provide independent, evidence-based information on how food and diet affect brain function - for researchers and students, professionals, policymakers and the public. Their activities and platform also encourage collaboration, the transfer and sharing of knowledge, and the exchange of ideas to improve both scientific research and everyday practice.
