Discover mountain biking through fun games & activities led by licensed mountain bike coaches and PA Interscholastic Cycling League staff.
The Crows started in 2016 and have grown to over 40 student athletes per season that range from 11 to 18 years old. Our main goal is getting more kids on bikes and developing a joy of cycling that lasts a lifetime. There are no tryouts - everyone makes the team. With new riders, we start by developing basic skills using drills and demonstration and then move on to build fitness and master advanced skills. Our advanced riders shred the most technical trails in Rothrock. Most of our time on the Crows is spent practicing and riding with teammates and a dedicated crew of trained coaches. Additionally, riders have the opportunity to race in league races with the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL).
The Centre County Crows are a composite team within the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Cycling League (PICL), under the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA). We receive insurance through these organizations. All coaches have been certified through NICA, which includes background checks and instruction on mountain bike coaching techniques. Most of our coaches love mountain biking in their free time.
Riders are required to register through the PICL Pit Zone website in order to participate in the team. Visit our registration page to sign up. If you want to get a taste of what it is like to be on the Crows before you register, visit our try it page.
