Frequently asked Questions and Answers:
Q. What if I have been flocked more than once?
A. If you get flocked again, and would like to pass the flock on to another yard, you need to fill out a new form. On the form you will have the option of donating again to remove or move the flock, or just have it removed. You will need to fill out a form for each time you get flocked.
Q. How do I flock someone if I have not yet been flocked?
A. Anyone can go to the form and choose to flock someone. When flocking someone, please list the first name of the person you would like to flock. If you would like the flock to come from your student/kids (or anyone who did not fill out the form), please list as follows: Jacob flocking Joshua.
In order to Flock someone, you must provide us with a street address. If you do not have one, please email me and provide me with a full name and if possible an email address, I will try to get an address for you.
Q. I got Flocked, what do I do with the yard signs now?
A. Please DO NOT REMOVE OR MOVE THE FLOCK YOURSELF! Please fill out the online form so that the NEXT yard on the Flock List gets their flamingos first. Then we will know where to get the flock from as well.
Q. Who can I flock? Can I flock my own child?
A. You can Flock your own child, friend, neighbor or teacher. Just fill out the form. Make a donation, and the address will be added to our Flock List. If you are flocking your own child, you can have them put their school email address in the form and choose another friend or classmate to flock.
Q. Does the family you flock have to be a Central School Family?
A. Not at all. If you have a friend or neighbor you would like to flock who has children in a different school, but you think they might get a kick out of it, please feel free to let them join the fun. Just please make sure the address you are flocking is in East Brunswick.
Q. How can I make payment?
A. There are 3 ways to make a donation, Venmo, PayPal, and check or cash. Please make the check payable to Central School PTA and mail it to Rachel Van Wagner, 45 Sandalwood Drive, East Brunswick, NJ or you can mail it or send it to the school, 371 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, NJ 08816 ATTN: 5GC-SCALA

HELLO and Welcome to 5th Grade
It feels like yesterday we were all nervously planning our children’s first day of school and wiping away the tears from our eyes as our little ones headed through the school doors for their first day of kindergarten. We are going through an unprecedented time in education, but still want to make this last year at Central as memorable and celebratory as we can for the Class of 2021!To make sure we can create wonderful experiences and great memories we need YOUR help! That help can come in a few different ways. Throughout the year we will need volunteers for activities and fundraisers, item donations for fundraisers and events, as well as monetary donations. Whether it be your time or financial support, any amount (small or large) is greatly appreciated and ultimately helps all our kids have a memorable 5th grade experience. We are also in touch with the other 5th Grade Committees from around the district so that we can collaborate on creative ways to celebrate our children. If you have any ideas, please click below.

- Give each 5th Grader an original Central School Class of 2021 ‘graduation’ t-shirt.
- Create a collage to be hung in Alumni Hall alongside previous classes. This will feature each 5th grader.
- Give each 5th Grader a moving-up gift (most likely a yearbook and a Hammarskjold sweatshirt).
We are also in touch with the other 5th Grade Committees from around the district so that we can collaborate on creative ways to celebrate our children. If you have any ideas, please click below.

Art To Remember
Art To Remember
Hi Families and Friends,
Our school’s 5GC is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our 5th graders. The exciting part is that you can select any piece of artwork from home! You can use art from e-learning, choose a piece from earlier in the year, or create something new. Just click on the link below, click the "upload" button, select a piece of artwork, search for your child's name, and start shopping. You can upload additional pieces and save them in a digital family gallery. Have fun creating and shopping!
