I have been grooming for over 29 years. My passion for grooming started as a child by home grooming my best friend, a mini schnauzer named Pepper. When I was old enough to get a job, I was hired at a corporate company as a bather. I had no idea where my career would take me, but I worked my way up from a bather to a grooming salon manager and a mentor. I have mentored many groomers for over 15 years.  I have been truly blessed to have had the opportunity to have worked with so many talented, artistic groomers over the years. Then two years ago a larger opportunity came up for me to manage many grooming salons across the country. I took the opportunity but truly missed being in the salon and seeing all those happy dogs everyday. My heart pulled me back into what I have always loved - grooming.  In 2021 I made the decision to start my own salon. With the love and support from my husband, family and life long clients I am able to make my Central Paws dream a reality.

Kristi Wensole - Stylist

I have been a groomer for almost 24 years. My love for dogs began when I was a child. As a young teen, I volunteered my time at an Animal Humane Society. Learning about dogs and being around them is a passion of mine. Beginning as a bathing assistant, going through grooming school and working as a professional groomer. I take pride in my sense of handling skills and knowledge of dogs that I've gained over the years. I have shared my life with some special dogs of my own. Currently, I have two, named Chilly and Lindy, pictured here. 

 I hope to get to know you and your furry family too! 

Angel Hansen - Stylist

Hi, I'm Angel. I have been grooming for 8 years.  My inspiration to become a Stylist was my best friend named Finn (pictured on the left). Finn is a 6 year old Shih-tzu/bichon mix.  My Favorite part of grooming is getting to know each dog's personality and their families. I like to take my time during the appointment to understand your dog's needs and what is best for your families lifestyle. I take pride in my ability to be calm and patient with every dog, young or old I treat them all with love and compassion.

Ellie Knickerbocker - Stylist

Hi, I'm Ellie. I started out life as a baker, then cake decorator, moved on to pantry chef and then on my way to a dessert chef and baker. I have been to culinary school as well as baking and pastry school. I burnt out. The only thing I have ever loved other than food is animals. I wanted to be a zoo keeper when I was little, that was my dream job. I started to search for jobs involving animals and I found myself starting as a bather. I loved it! I have been grooming for over 16 years. I started out as a bather for 2 years and worked my way up to being a groomer. Jody the owner here was my mentor and teacher. Dogs are amazing creatures that we don't deserve. I love the goofy ones as well as the sassy. Every dog has their own personality, I would love the chance to get to meet your pup and learn more about theirs. The picture you see here is of my own little one named Gertie.

Payton Johnson -Jr. Stylist 

Hi! My name is Payton Johnson!! I am super excited to be working in the Long Lake area after moving up from Lakeville. I have a Boston terrier named Gidget. I am passionate about working with animals and can’t wait to learn more. I’ve had a variety of dog breeds with different coats, temperaments, and sizes. I started at a grooming salon as a bather in a locally owned shop in Lakeville before starting at Central Paws. I am now working under Jody as I learn to become a Stylist. I love all things vintage along with having a love for music.

Emily Pany - Salon Assistant 

Hi, I'm Emily. I have been helping out at the salon whenever I am not at school.  I truly enjoy seeing all the dogs while they are being groomed. I currently have a pet pigeon named Pepper. Here is a cute picture of my best buddy a boxer named Cisco.
