On Friday, March 31, 2023 University of Kentucky students at the U.K. Gatton Student Center built fifteen Corsi-Rosenthal air cleaners. The units were donated to central Kentucky classrooms (K-12) in April. Corsi-Rosenthal air cleaners have been shown to significantly reduce indoor levels of pollutants and virus-laden aerosols.Â
In December 2022, third graders from the Rise STEM Academy for girls in Lexington, Kentucky held a mini box-a-thon and built 6 C-R boxes.
Several generous donors have already provided the funds for 60 air cleaners to be placed in various classrooms in central Kentucky. We hope to continue to provide air cleaners on a rolling basis as funds become available.
