Dancing together since 2007.
Wow, 2007 seems like forever ago, but here we are. Our studio started as a simple solution to a small town problem. Erica and then young Brittany, moved to Albion in 2006 from Columbus. They loved Albion, but the town was missing the joy of a dance studio. And well, to make a long story short, they decided to change that.
Erica grew up in Columbus, Nebraska where she enjoyed dancing at Barb's School of Dance. She trained in tap, ballet, and jazz as a young girl and it is clear that dance has been in her heart ever since. So of course, once Erica had her oldest daughter, Brittany, the natural choice was to put her into dance classes as well.
Brittany has not stopped dancing since she was three years old, taking tap and ballet. Over the years, Brittany has been trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, musical theater, clogging, hip hop, pom, and pointe. Brittany has dance in a studio setting, on dance teams in high school and college, and has a laundry list of awards as a dancer including All-American titles and two national championships at the collegiate level. As a choreographer and instructor, Brittany has been around the block! Outside of choregraphing and instructing our competitive program, she has choreographed and taught for several studios, high school teams statewide, and collegiate teams. She also currently coaches both cheer and dance at Boone Central High School.
Through the years our studio has grown from offering a few classes one night a week, to being able to offer a variety of classes all week long. As the studio has grown, we have watched so many young dancers grow into wonderful and talented men and women. So, what started as a simple solution to a small town problem has turned into family business based in passion and rooted in having fun.
