Tips for new students
Written by Pythono on 3/11/24
When you enter class, the most optimal places for desks are:
For unrestricted gaming without the teacher noticing: A desk far from the front of the class in an area with the least amount of outside vision (for example, the last row of desks in a class on the side of the classroom without a door)
For studying and focused learning without interruption: A desk close to the board and teacher's main desk so you can hear videos better, see content more, and listen to the teachers. (for example, a desk facing the front in the front row of desks)
For chatting with your friends and not getting in trouble: A desk next to your friend is best, but if you can't, make sure you sit directly behind your friend, and make sure you face the teacher. This allows for the passing of notes between two people without suspicion. (for example, a desk behind your best friend that is also facing the teacher at most times)
When you enter class, keep in mind that most teachers will:
Tell you that your seat that you choose will be the same for the rest of the year.
OR, the teacher will change your seat periodically, sometimes each unit.
If you need to use the bathroom, make sure to calculate a few things.
Teachers get suspicious if you go multiple times at the same class, so space out your breaks for each class. If you need to go every time, just go at a different time every few days so you spread out the breaks and don't make the teacher suspicious.
Classes usually have passes, so if you go make sure to take a pass.
How to effectively skip classes
Written by Pythono on 3/11/24
Skipping is something we are all familiar with in some way - it's purposefully avoiding one or more class periods in school, and we have some tricks for you to remember if you ever decide to skip.
Disclaimer: these strategies aren't guarenteed to work, so don't blame us for getting you in trouble.
Make sure to use logic. Teachers often will notice when students are gone for a long period, so don't make it too obvious.
The best way to skip is using a bathroom pass. Act like you need to go, take a pass, and just leave the class. When you are in the clear, just hang around. Administrators patrol hallways and also are always moving around, so if you hear footsteps of any kind make sure to slowly walk towards a bathroom. Make sure not to act as if you are going back to class, because it might make the administrator question you.
If an administator or teacher does question you, act normal or confused. Try to make them believe that you are confused on if you are in trouble. Make sure to tell them that you are going to the bathroom and show them the pass.
A guide to lunch trades
Written by Pythono on 3/11/24
When you are at lunch, it is often commonplace for students to trade food or give it out.
Remember to make transactions that are not suspicious. A suspicious transaction is often thought of as a phrase similar to "I'll pay you back later".
When trading, ask everybody and make sure to only trade if that's the easiest way to get the food item. If there is a person willing to give food away for free, make sure to use that opportunity before making a trade.
For the most secure trades, use two arms. Take the food with your left arm while giving the food on the left. This allows for anybody to back out until the last moment and makes it very hard to scam people or be scammed.
We have compiled a lunch trade list on our homepage, but you can also access it here.
