Centennial is well known for it's long list of amazing parks. With support from South Suburban Parks and Recreation, Centennial probably has the best park system in Colorado. With everything from dog parks to playgrounds and summer camps this means Centennial is a great place to raise a family. Here's a list of our favorite parks in no particular order:
Located at 6301 S University Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121 the park has large baseball field for regular games along with 6 tennis courts. There are also BBQ pits, 2 playgrounds and plenty of well kept trails for hiking, biking or jogging. The park is regularly maintained and has covered setting to enjoy during all types of weather. We give it a personal rating of 8/10!
Located at 13050 E Peakview Ave, Centennial, CO 80111 this is a massive park set on 11-acres. They've got a sand box, a small water play area and a huge playground. The only downside is because the park does seem to have just about everything it can get a bit crowed at times. You're able to rent space (at a reasonable rate) for parties and other events. This park gets a rating of 9/10 from us!
Located at 8000 E Phillips Cir, Centennial, CO 80112 this park is our favorite BBQ spot. It isn't crowded very often which means you get your pick of the best spots. We've actually held our monthly Centennial Home Owners meeting at this location several times and it's always been great. The park is centrally located which makes it a great spot for meeting others.
My son loves the name of this park (but he's disappointed there isn't a puma) which is located at 7900 S Ogden Way, Centennial, CO 80122. This park has a fewer structures and is more focused on the nature side of things. Still there, are several fields and courts for sports including baseball, basketball and tennis.
Located on 8000 S High St, Centennial, CO 80122 this simple park has a soccer field and baseball field. There's also a small playground great for small children.
Home owners in Highlands Ranch has recently be required to paint all of their fences brown. We expect this may occur in the Centennial and surrounding areas in the future. We're suggesting the homeowners get this done now before it becomes a requirement to avoid missing the deadline which may result in a fine. Do not cut corners in this process! One of the best ways to mess up a fencing painting job is to not clean the fence prior to painting. For this, we recommend hiring the Highlands Ranch Brothers Power Washing (find them here: https://highlandsranchbrotherspowerwashing.com/cities/centennial/)
They charge a fair price and are easy to work with. You can also contact them at (720)-676-1804 or request a quote for you fence online. You can get map directions here:

Amidst the development and growth of the city of Centennial, the latter thrives to pay close attention to Animal Services. They contracted with the Humane Society of the Pike’s Peak Region (HSPPR) to supplement Animal care and control for the city. Centennial Animal Services of (CAS) is in-charge of preservation as well as protection of safety and health as it specifies domestic animals.
CAS can help you with the health and safety and maintenance of Dangerous animals, at-large and contained animals, injured animals and other domestic animal problems. They can also help you with animal bites and give you information and care regarding the said bite, unusual or not. Further, for lost and found pets, there is a specific website updated on a daily basis where animals are listed with pictures. So they have a data base to easily retrieve lost animals.
But more importantly, care and services for domestic animals are of prime consideration. The city of Centennial focuses its attention on Dogs, their hygiene, care, and registration of pet licenses. The city offers three selections to buy or renew domestic pet licenses that are convenient for you. Licensing fees may vary from twelve dollars to sixty seven dollars depending on the nature and period of licensing.
On the other hand Citizens which are sixty five years and older are given the freedom to own one animal, free of license per household per year, provided, they have proof of age. Listed below are options on how to apply your registration or license:
Fax or Mail your License Renewal or Application: All you have to do is to download your Animal License Application Form and mail it together with your payment to the designated address listed in the form. You have to be reminded to include a copy of your vaccination and spay certificate as an added requirement.

This has been the only issue and will be resolve as early as they can.
The City will always think of the welfare of animals regardless of growth and development, animals are still on their top list.
