Interested in volunteering?

Every volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt that they must wear while on duty, admission to the convention for the weekend, and we will also provide light snacks and drinks.

Some things to note before you apply to volunteer

Must be at least 18 years of age in order to qualify (by date of con).
We expect all of our volunteers and staff to be on their best behaviors and treat attending members with the same kindness volunteers and staff expect to be treated themselves. We will not tolerate rude behaviors from our volunteers and staff.
It's highly recommended that you take the time to learn the general information of the convention layout, convention times & posted schedule. Expect to be asked a lot of questions by attendees no matter where you’re assigned.
When you are scheduled for a shift, we expect you to be there and sign in.
If you cannot make your shift, or cannot avoid being late, e-mail, call or send a text message to let the volunteer manager know so that we can work around the problem so that everyone is treated fairly.
If you are working a shift and the next person does not show up, please let the volunteer manager know while we find a replacement.
All volunteer staff must abide by the Convention rules. We will take complaints by attendees very seriously if they report on being mistreated. We can and may remove you from the premise and future CentAR conventions if we find you being rude to convention attendees or receive multiple complaints and infractions.
CentAR and its staff are not responsible for misplaced, lost or stolen personal items. We will have a room where you can place your belongings that attendees will not have access to.
