Kera overview

More than 75,000 Kansans and 10,000 housing and service providers have received more than $250 million in rental and utility assistance through the Kansas Emergency Rental Assistance (KERA) program over the past 18 months.

This has prevented thousands of evictions and given essential services to more than 30,000 families who were in danger of losing their homes. The temporary pandemic relief initiative was launched a year and a half ago, and now that it has received enough applications to use up all available funds, it has moved into the Hold Phase.
